Types of licenses

Per number of protected users
  • Important! To ensure reliability, server redundancy is often used (hot, when all the servers are running at the same time, and the email on them is being distributed with a load balancer, or cold, when at any given time, one server is processing email and one is standing by in the event the first one fails), or a full-scale cluster is organised. Regardless of the number of primary and redundant servers, cluster nodes and balancers involved, the number of licenses purchased must equal the number of hosts. Each server requires a unique Dr.Web key file.
  • If each server processes its own list of addresses, a separate license is needed for each server.
Per-server license
  • This license is for scanning unlimited server email traffic where the number of protected users is no greater than 3,000.
  • To renew a per-server license, the user should purchase either a license per number of protected objects or a new per-server license that comes with a renewal discount.
  • Additional purchase is not available for per-server licenses.
Unlimited license
  • This license is for scanning an unlimited amount of correspondence on any number of servers, with any number of protected users.
  • To renew this license, the user should purchase either a license per number of protected objects or a new per-server license that comes with a renewal discount.
  • An unlimited license cannot be obtained by making an additional purchase.
